Ein Wort von ehemaligen Vorgesetzten
My Hyde worked as a part-time teacher of English in the language department at the Institute of English and American Studies for a total of four semesters from 2004-6.
Teaching these courses required the independent development of course materials and syllabus, a task which Mr Hyde mastered with remarkable competence, creativity and originality.
I was particularly impressed with Mr Hyde´s ability to recognise the students´ needs, both as a group and on an individual basis, and to respond to these needs by adapting his course material and providing additional exercises when necessary.
His treatment and assessment of the students was marked by respect and fairness, though he never relaxed the high expectations for achievement which he set for the students. He was able to encourage students to produce a considerable amount of high-standard writer´s work, and provided them with valuable feedback on all of the assignments. This truly went above and beyond the work usually expected from part-time staff, showing his readiness to dedicate himself to his work.
My Hyde was at all times a dedicated and selfless member of the team, ensuring the smooth running of the department during a period that was dififcult for all colleagues because of a shortage of staff.
As a person and colleague, I greatly appreciated Mr Hyde for his reliability, hard work, remarkable politeness and open personality. It was a pleasure to have him as a colleague and I recommend him wholeheartedly.
